THE WHITE LIST

If a script has made it to The White List, it has earned the right to be read. Most great scripts don’t fail because they’re bad, they fail because they’re never read.

Screenplays That Clear the System

Every year, thousands of exceptional screenplays go unread, not because they lack merit, but because the system cannot evaluate work at scale.

The White List exists to fix that.

The White List is a collection of unproduced screenplays that have met a measurable standard of execution, benchmarked against thousands of produced films.

Why hasn’t this been done before?

Simply put, because the dataset didn’t exist.

What Makes a Script White Listed?

Placement on The White List is not subjective, competitive, or popularity-based.

Scripts qualify by:

  • Meeting a defined executional threshold
  • Being evaluated against patterns derived from produced screenplays
  • Passing blind assessment, free from identity, reputation, or representation bias

The current baseline qualification score is 88 or higher with a marketability score of 8 or higher.

What The White List is and is Not

The White List is:

  • A clearance system
  • A signal for producers, actors, agents, managers and financiers
  • A way to reduce noise before creative judgment begins

The White List is Not:

  • A contest
  • A popularity poll
  • An executive survey
  • A taste prediction engine

Who Uses The White List?

  • FilmIQ, for option consideration, internal funding and production decisions
  • Producers, seeking execution-ready material
  • Partners, sourcing vetted projects
  • Writers, access without gatekeeping

Why This Exists

Hollywood is a hit-driven business but filtering remains analog.

The White List introduces a scalable, repeatable standard for identifying scripts that are ready for serious consideration before fatigue, bias, or volume distort the process.

Why The White List Matters

We don’t replace creative judgment. The White List doesn’t decide what gets made. We just remove unnecessary friction. It ensures the best work gets through so that it can get made.
